What is SmarterX?
Have you ever thought of running your application software on more than one computer with a single USB dongle key? Well, we have specially designed USB dongle sharing Hubs that allow you to do just that.

The Hub (SmarterX) gives you the ability to run simultaneously several copies of your legally purchased application software on multiple computers sharing a single USB dongle key. It is a unique dongle sharing device on the market today.

Stop moving your dongle around
Moving a dongle around between computers is kind of pain and requires lots of fumbling around under the desk. The dongle must be track down and disconnected from the parallel or USB port and it can be easily lost or stolen if it is constantly moved.

SmarterX offers you a neat solution to the above problems by providing a virtual and concurrent connection between the dongle and computers attached to the device. Since the dongle remains permanently attached to SmarterX the problems highlighted above are eliminated.

Please Note: SmarterX allows applications software to run concurrently* on multiple PCs using a single dongle. If you have a single user license you should use the device in a non-concurrent mode in order to keep within the terms of your software license. This two port device works with all makes of USB dongles. The device is a hardware based solution and requires no driver or software installation.

When using standard USB A/B cables the distance between the device and the remote computers can be up to 10 meters long. However, this distance can be increased to around 40 meters (120 feet) when using a low cost USB active extender.

Access to the device via Internet or local area network is also possible when using "USB Over Network" software. In this instance there is no limit to how far your remote computer is situated.

SmarterX-NET provides a simple way for multiple users to share concurrently a single USB dongle wirelessly.

SmaretrX-NET is a cable free device (wireless). It connects to your computers via your LAN network.

The device effectively transforms your single node-lock dongle into a network dongle with capability to allow up to five users to run your application simultaneously.

Any user connected to your local network can run the application, with up to five users concurrently. However, you can set the device to limit the number of concurrent users equal to the number of licenses (dongles) you own in order to stay within the terms of your license.

If you have local network (LAN) within your office or in your building then this is the device for you. You can plug it into your network hub or network switch and every computer user on your network will see five identical copies of your dongle.

Each computer requires a control center utility installed, which only takes few seconds. It will automatically add an exception to the windows firewall and also offers a choice of manually or automatically connecting to any of the five virtual dongles available for use by your software. It runs permanently in the background and loads a quick access icon in the system tray.

The control center opens with a view of all five virtual copies of your dongle that you have plugged in the device dongle port.

This device works with all makes of parallel port dongles. Your dongle is automatically available to four users running the same application software at the same time*.

The device can be cascaded to share your dongle between 7 machines. No switches to set, no software to install, just plug in your computers and your dongle to the device and you're ready to go! It's that easy!

SmarterX is transparent to other dongles. That means several dongles can be attached to the device and shared by multiple users.

The device can be operated at a distance of 30 meters (100 feet) from a remote computer. A standard parallel port data cable can be used to connect the device to a computer. We can supply suitable data cables and extension cables of various length.
